Two years ago, a handful of terrorists rained bullets on the innocent and helpless citizens of India. Amongst the blood thirsty covered, only one survived, Ajmal Kasab, citizen of Pakistan, and the ugly face of state sponsored terrorism against another country. Two years later, despite hundreds of eye witnesses, TV camera evidences, the Indian judicial system has yet to bring justice to the dead and injured of Mumbai 26/11. They still can’t award death sentence to Kasab, despite all the evidence etc. being there for all to see. It should have taken 2 days to decide his crime and the fitting punishment. Yet it has taken 2 years and CRORES of INDIAN TAXPAYER’S MONEY wasted only to fatten the rascal and provide him with ultra high security. Justice delayed is justice denied. With each passing day, that Kasab case lingers on, it brings shame to the cruelly insensitive Indian political and judicial system. Lets end wasting public’s money and time and hang Kasab.

Finally Mr. A Raja gets the boot as did Mr. Kalmadi. But one wonders is getting axed from their posts punishment enough? Certainly not. If they are guilty, they must be brought to book just like an ordinary offender. Getting them off their posts is only the beginning of the process of Justice. Sadly, one fears that the story may end at that. Pro-govt. media will shout from the rooftops how the tainted were dropped thereby insinuating that Justice has been done till the time the public attention shifts to something else. However, as a citizen one would like to state that law of the land (fortunately) is not subservient to the interests of survival of the ruling party. If Raja, Kalmadi, Chavan etc. are indeed guilty of defrauding the nation then merely relieving them of their posts isn’t enough. The ire of Ms. Sonia Gandhi is no fitting punishment. This is in response to Shirish’s comments (www.jugshree.blogspot.com), who questioned what difference a caste based census will make in a country already riddled with laws and customs which make use of castes. I would like to point out that anything that stands firm and tall need not be good for the country. granted that caste system is well entrenched in this country, but I believe it is evil and would rather oppose it rather than becoming a follower. For once, I totally agree to Mr. Bal Thackrey’s call to respond to the divisive caste based census in a fitting manner. He advises us to respond as of Hindustani Caste when asked about our castes. Hats off to you, Mr. Thackrey. This country deseperately needs leaders who can unite us rather than follow the British policy of “Divide and rule”. However, sadly both the current regime, UPA and the BJP has let down the country once again. Instead of taking steps to uproot this evil caste based system which divides our society, they are going to institutionalize it with a caste based census which will divide the country even further.
